Overview

As a DevOps Engineer you will be a key member of a team that is dedicated to securely and efficiently delivering the tools our clients need to support their efforts towards improving healthcare. You are a highly motivated self-starter with hands-on experience supporting automation of application integration and delivery, including infrastructure provisioning and automation. Experience with security and compliance automation are strongly desired.

In this role you will

  • Bring vision and strategy for future technologies and processes while managing the ongoing application and infrastructure needs
  • Actively design, develop, and implement DevSecOps practices, tools, and processes
  • Mentor and help grow our capabilities in areas of application automation, compliance automation, and security automation
  • Develop and implement robust Day 2 operations guidelines in areas of site reliability, cost monitoring, auditing, logging, and vulnerability management
  • Partner with application owners and developers to expeditiously manage and resolve emergent reliability issues
  • Execute other duties as assigned

What we require

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM major
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps on AWS
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on working knowledge of AWS Services such as EC2, Network, ELB, S3/EBS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, CloudFormation, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, and other core AWS technologies
  • Deep understanding of the AWS security model
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines on AWS for Java- and/or Python-based services and microservices using CI/CD and automation tools and components like Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Jenkins, Selenium, Bit Bucket, Bamboo, Ansible, and Nagios
  • Working knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker Swarm
  • Strong incident/problem resolution, troubleshooting, and QA skills
  • Proficient at working in agile software development environments
  • Working knowledge of two or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
